The faster extinguishing effect of FM200 as compared with conventional low pressure FM200 systems is achieved solely by means of the high-pressure technology which the Siemens Cerberus Division developed for Halon 1301.
Only when all three of these criteria are completely fulfilled is the FM200 gas available immediately after flooding in each part of the extinguishing sector in the required extinguishing concentration to extinguish a fire reliably in the shortest possible time
FM200 is transported in liquid form to the nozzles in the extinguishing sector where FM200 is atomized
For this reason, with a high-pressure system, a delay until all the FM200 is totally vaporized under unfavourable thermodynamic conditions upon completion of the flooding process, is impossible.
